FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) broadband is being replaced by SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access), a more cost-effective solution that doesn’t require a traditional phone line. With the 2027 Copper Line Switch Off approaching, businesses and households relying on FTTC will need to transition to SoGEA or upgrade to FTTP (Full Fibre) to stay connected.
